ARTICLE REVIEW

When taking pictures of a animal, you dont want to get any of the background. You really just want to focus on the animal. It's the biggest challenge for wildlife photographers to focus the attention on the animals. One way to edit the picture is just to erase everything besides the animal. What doesnt add to the understanding of the animal should be cropped away. When you have a picture of an animal cropped only around its face the tight cropping draws the viewer's eye to the character and majesty of the animal. The main lighting should be soft yet bright. You should try to avoid distractions in the background. The best way to edit the animal is to up the brightness, and contrast, but really light areas should need to be toned down. dark areas, such as shadows can often turn slightly blue, so it needs to be balanced with the color onlthe main light falling on it.
